www.jetairways.com, was awarded the prestigious Genius of the Web Awards 2007 for
the Best Airlines website. The awards were organized by Web 18, a part of the
esteemed Network 18 group. The awards were announced on October 18th, 2007 at a
glittering function at the ITC Grand Central, Mumbai. The award was received by Mr.
Belson Coutinho, General Manager - eCommerce & Distribution. The best players from

The Web18 Genius of the Web Awards are a pioneering set of awards in multiple
categories, instituted to honour outstanding industry achievements in the online
space. The awards were presented on the basis of comprehensive industry research by
global research leaders Frost & Sullivan. These awards recognise the diligence and
innovation required by companies to implement a successful business plan and excel
in the marketplace.
Speaking on Jet Airways' achievement, Mr. Gaurang Shetty, Vice President-Marketing,

777-300 ERs aircraft, 50 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900
aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-200 aircraft and 7 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.
With an average fleet age of 4.82 years, the airline has one of the youngest
aircraft fleet in the world. Jet Airways operates over 350 flights daily.


Flights to 53 destinations span the length and breadth of India and beyond,
including New York (Newark), Toronto, Brussels, London Heathrow, Singapore, Kuala
Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok and Kathmandu. The airline plans to extend its
international operations to other cities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia
in phases with the introduction of wide-body aircraft into its fleet. Since its
inception in May 1993 to end- September 2007, Jet Airways has flown over 76.7
million passengers.
